New Exciting Blog Format

Not that anyone actually saw the old, non-exciting format - LOL. Anyway, I'm going to count this as the first official post for the website, here. My name is Jun, and I'm an animation writer/director by trade. I've been working in Hollywood for about 14 years now, ever since I got out of film school (USC). I'm also an avid MMORPG gamer.

About 2 years ago, I got let go, for the first time in my life, from a directorial position on a major film at a major studio. I was stunned. I took a year off, wallowing in self-pity and Everquest 2. As I slowly became active again in the online gaming community (while shutting out the Hollywood community), I discovered that many people were messing around with a new art form called Machinima.

At around this same time, an online company called Xfire was hosting one of their first Machninima film competitions. I was intrigued, but all I had was the free Windows Moviemaker Program that came with XP. This program only lets one add a single track of sound. So, I decided that I would try making a couple of music videos - a song only needed a single track of sound, easy enough.

I had a blast and was hooked on this new art form! (You can see the results for youself, up there, under Films)

Thus, a machinima studio was born. We'll see where it goes from here!
