This next Snacky will probably be my last.

So I am struggling to finish Snacky #4, and I will, but a lot of things have been happening to me ever since 2008 started. It's like the stars are aligning or something. The result is that: I got signed to direct an animated feature film.

What this means is, sadly, I won't have time for machinima any more. I will be so crazy busy. Besides, animation is my career, my first love, it's a world and a path that I knew inside and out from a very young age. I love every single aspect of directing animation, from arguing about story and characters, to laughing with voice actors, to imagining the look and the world with the art department, to spending long days in editorial making the storyboards sing, to seeing the animators create memorable characters out of dreams and pixels, to sit in a sound stage with an orchestra pumping all round you - and most of all, to work with some of the most creative and talented people on this planet. All I ever wanted to do from day one was be an animation director, and now I have another chance (and I will be working my ass off not to blow it, believe you me).

Machinima was a way to fill in a creative gap in my career after I was fired off of a movie 3 years ago. I love doing it, and I majorly appreciate all the fans who watched and enjoyed my films. I hope you will understand why there will be no more Snackys after 4. Instead, knock on wood, you'll be seeing my work in the theater. :) Thanks.

Why I haven't been working on machinima

I know, I know, you are thinking that the last thing I did was nearly 3 months ago, and it wasn't even a 'real' Snacky episode. Well, here's the deal and I can't say all the details yet, but I have been very busy recently in my primary career which, as some of you know, is animation. Very busy as in taking away a lot of my free time. Hopefully it will all turn out well and I can make an exciting announcement, but I'm not saying anything yet just in case. I merely wished to apologize to any fans who might be bothered to read this and to promise that if this doesn't pan out I'll get back on Snacky 4 soon. :) And if it does....well, we'll cross that bridge if we come to it. Sorry for the mystery.
